Commissioned Pet Portraits

Image

Are you interested in a commissioned pet portrait? Whether it be something for yourself or a gift to a friend, pet portraits are a great way to celebrate and remember the fury friends in our lives.

To start the process, contact me and I will provide additional information and more specifics on what I will need from you. After our initial contact, I will ask for reference photos of your pet and we can start discussing the possibilities.

Once a commissioned pet portrait is agreed upon, please allow a minimum of 4 weeks before it is delivered to you. Depending on my workload and waiting list, commissions could take up to 4 months. Any large-scale work will be longer.

Size:

First, it is helpful if you can have an idea of the size of painting you are wanting. Consider what you want in the painting. For example, the pet’s body or the head only. I recommend getting the painting framed. Standard frame sizes can be found almost anywhere. The cost of frames vary drastically. It is best to place an oil painting into a frame without any glass.

Price:

My oil paintings are done on Belgian linen and attached with an archival adhesive, using a heat press, to Aluminum Composite Material–ACM. The end product is a sturdy ¼” thick aluminum panel with your oil painting attached. Generally, I use standard sizes so it is easier for you to find a frame. I can make any custom size if preferred.

These price estimates are based on using a simple background. Remember that prices may change depending on what you want to include in the painting such as an additional pet or a more scenic background.

6x8 = $150
8x8 = $190
8x10 = $235
9x12 = $310
11x14 = $440
12x12 = $420
16x20 = $905

*Prices include shipping within the United States.

Please send me an email so we can discuss what you are wanting. I look forward to hearing from you soon.
